St. Joseph the Worker Church (a)

 
Scattered throughout the District are
  • three Christian churches, Catholic from the last quarter of the 19th century, Lutheran from the early 20th century, and Assembly of God from the 1980s,
  • a Jewish Congregation from the 1920s, and
  • a Buddhist Monastery from the 1980s, but located in a building previously constructed by the Church of the Nazarene in the early 20th century.
Of these, St. Joseph the Worker’s Roman Catholic church on Addison St. and Jefferson Ave. is the oldest, dating back to 1907, when it was built to replace the older church which had been built in 1883.
